The DGPT2 today
Automation 2000 was created in 1973 to answer the demands of manufacturers of electrical transformers.
The first protection unit, called the DGP, was produced as of 1974. The DGP enables to monitor continuously two essential parameters of the electrical transformer’s tank: release of gas and excess pressure.

The DGP in 1973
The DGPT2 is marketed after two years of research and development in 1976. It adds monitoring of the dielectric fluid to the DGP’s functions.
A similar device was also produced in 1984 which features two independant thermostats, the TDC. This device is mainly aimed at power transformers, or older models of transformers.
During the past 20 years, many optional features were added to the DGPT2 by our R&D department.
Automation 2000 has also become the sole importer in France of the Japanese company Shimaden, which manufactures electronic regulation hardware.
Since the begining, we have been aware of the importance of quality control. Accordingly, Automation 2000 was certified ISO 9001-2000 in February 2000 by SGS.
We currently are shipping our products to over 100 countries, with exportations representing two thirds of our gross income. There are more than 200,000 units worldwide currently in service.
